closing up
INTDEC was made with the purpose of being the first project I’d fully finish. I took it from a simple idea
to an actual working small app. It does what I set out to do, all the planned features are there, and that’s why it’s time to move on!

on feedback
I'm not going to lie. One part of the development process that I wanted to happen was learning and iterating through feedback. That was a pretty hopeful idea that didn’t happen. The reach was small. But finishing still mattered. It just means I couldn’t do the part I envisioned.
things I learned
Now obviously the project isn't deep technically, but I still learned things about the overall development process. Taking something from start to finish is important, it shows you know when to stop. There's no point iterating forever. And even if your project doesn’t get seen, that doesn’t mean it’s bad.
the breakdown video
Here’s a short video I put together that sums up INTDEC. It’s quick, clear, and hopefully gives you the gist without needing to read too much
what's next
Next project is ASCIIQUEST. It's going to be a dungeon crawler ray-casted from a 2D grid. I'm planning to add a short campaign and possibly randomly generated layouts in the future.
